Are you guys BYOB?
Yes! We are a BYOB facility and Bring Your Own Food. We have table space and counter top space to setup food. Please bring your own plates and utensils. We do not have any on site.

What happens if someone is intoxicated?
If staff believes a player is intoxicated and unable to throw an axe safely, they will be instructed to sit out and will be refused entry to the throwing area.

What are your hours?
Monday: 11:00am – 11:00pm
Tuesday: 11:00am – 11:00pm
Wednesday: 11:00am – 11:00pm
Thursday: 11:00am – 11:00pm
Friday: 11:00am – 11:00pm
Saturday: 11:00am – 12:00am
Sunday: 11:00am – 12:00am

How much does it cost?
The cost is $20 for a 1 hour walk-in session. For a 2 hour group event the cost is $30 per person. This is the cheapest axe throwing ticket in Pittsburgh!

How do I redeem a gift certificate?
There is an option at the end of checkout where you can click credit card or gift certificate as payment form, click gift certificate, enter the code from the gift cert, and you are good to go.

How long is one session?
A walk-in session will last 1 hour long and a group tournament will last 2.5 hours. Each of these has an additional 15 minute instructional session with an axe expert that will not take away from your allotted time.

Do I need previous experience in throwing axes to do this?
Nope! No skill level is required.

Is there a minimum number of participants required?
There is not a minimum number required for walk-in sessions.

Is this safe?
Yes! This concept has been around in the United States for a few years and Canada for over a decade. No major injuries have been reported. This activity is very similar to darts.

Is there an age requirement?
Yes, you must be older than 18 years of age to participate at Ace Ace Throwing.

Is there parking?
There is free parking in the Aldi’s lot behind our building. There is metered street parking in front of our building, 25 cents for 30 minutes. These meters are monitored Monday-Saturday 9am-4:00pm.

What do I wear?
The only requirement is to wear closed-toe shoes. Please do not wear open-toe shoes or sandals. Other than that, feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in!

Can I bring my own axe?
For safety purposes, we cannot allow you to bring your own axe.

Can I host a corporate event here outside of the regular schedule?
Absolutely! We have ample space, a private party room, catering options, Projector/tvs, wireless microphone, speakers and anything else you may need. We can schedule your group a session for any available time even if it is outside normal business hours! Call or email us for more information.

Do you have mobile targets?
Yes, we have mobile targets and can bring them onsite to your event! Please email us or call for more details.

What is the cancellation policy and what if I need to make changes to my booking?

We have a 1-week cancellation policy. You are able to cancel/reschedule your event as long as you give us at least one week notice. If you do so, your deposit can be refunded or transferred to your new reservation.
Your deposit is non-refundable if you choose to cancel/reschedule less than 1 week prior to your scheduled event.

What happens if I reserve for a certain number of people and they don’t show up?
If only 1 or 2 people are “no shows”, we will only charge you for the number of people who actually show up. For larger groups with no shows we may have to charge the full amount as this requires more resources.

Are you affiliated with any other Axe Throwing venues in additional cities?
We are not. Ace Axe Throwing is proudly built and designed by local Pittsburghers and is not a franchise.
